yuletide!

Way back in July of this year, I wrote an entry about how I wanted to read a fic about Elle and Emmett from Legally Blonde getting together, since it's only hinted at in the movie. I signed up for Yuletide and put that in as one of my requests, and, yayness of yayness, someone wrote me a WONDERFUL story that is totally what I was wishing for five months ago!

Sui Generis - Elle's good at getting what she wants, even if everyone else doesn't always take her seriously.

Legally Blonde is one of those movies that I suspect most people secretly or not-so-secretly love, so I'm sure this is a gift for me that will make lots of other people happy, too! It certainly made me happy!

Hey! Wildcard here, the finally-revealed writer of your fic. I'm really glad that you liked the story, and your request was actually a lot of fun to write. I had some other snippets floating around in my head -- like deleted scenes for a DVD -- but I finally decided that those three would do the best job of highlighting the three most important parts of Elle, how she's such a good friend, how she's really dedicated to her studies and how she really isn't as ditzy as most people think.

Anyway, sorry about the late/random reply, I just decided to check your journal and see if you'd written anything about the fic here (though your feedback to the fic itself was awesome too, I just didn't reply to comments there because I was offline until the 3rd Jan), and wanted to drop a note saying that it was a pleasure to write it and I am so glad that I managed to successfully write what you wanted because I know how awesome it is to get something that hits all your buttons and I'm really relieved that you truly liked the story and weren't just being polite in your feedback. XD

Hey, Wildcard! I'm so happy you came across this and saw how much I really enjoyed the story. I'm really glad you wrote the story the way you did, because I thought you highlighted my favorite characteristics of Elle in the three glimpses you gave of her. Just wonderful.

I'm so glad you had fun writing the story! When I gave the requests, I tried to make them as stress-free as possible, because I didn't want to have the person assigned to me tearing their hair out in frustration. I'm so glad it worked out so well.
