did i really write two x-men stories?

I've been home from work the last couple of days (yesterday a scheduled day off, today I was feeling sick), so I took some time and moved some of my older fic over to the Ao3, partially in response to that April Showers promotion I know they're doing, where they're encouraging people to post fic in old fandoms. I forced myself not to edit the stories as I moved them over, because I know that's a timesuck I'd never find my way out of, and MAN. At some points that was REALLY TOUGH!

The decision about which moved over and which I just decided to let go was rather arbitrary. A lot of the time it came down to things like, "I met one of my best fannish buddies because of this story!" or "A few people bookmarked it on delicious, so I guess it's worth keeping around?" Basically I have no artistic integrity, is what I'm saying.

Well, what I'm really saying is that I'm at fearlessfan and fandoms in the immediate queue, if one defines "immediate queue" as "list of fics I've poked at in the last six months, but have no clue if I'll actually finish," are Ocean's 11 and Supernatural!



The Story: There were stories around the school about her. (X-Men: The Movie, Rogue)

Ticket Out: Rogue wants hers. (X-Men: The Movie, Rogue)

Breathe Again: What does Max mean to Michael? (Roswell, Michael/Max)

Drive: Rusty is bored. Linus is, too. (Ocean's 11, Rusty/Linus)

Breathe: Marie and Jason in love and on the run, after the first movie. (The Bourne Identity, Marie/Jason)

Lovely: Susan wants David to wear a blindfold to the reception. (Bringing Up Baby, Susan/David)

The Rarest Faith: Friendship is never established as an understood relation. (Alias, Francie, Sydney)

What Partners Do: Eddie knows he should open his eyes. (Keen Eddie, Eddie/Monty)

Someday: Sam had stopped looking for her. (American Dreams, Sam/Meg)

And of course this afternoon the story I was poking at was the Ocean's 11 one! But someday I will finish that Supernatural one for you, and probably only show it to you, because I'm afraid it's deviating far from canon.

Those were the two oldest I found - I think I wrote them ten years ago, when I was still in college - and were the ones it was hardest for me not to edit, so would probably benefit from lowered expectations if you choose to check them out!

Oh, thank you! I didn't think anyone else remembered I wrote that! I pulled it down from my site a while back because I wanted to play around with it a bit, and then I never got around to it - maybe I will put it up on Ao3. Thank you for the comment and the kind words about the story!
